May I?

May I?

I dare you to dance with me
To see all the things that I see
Two-step in the shoes of the dead
To get nowhere else but my head

I beg you, get your bossing over
Get out of your fields full of clover
If you tapped into darker domains
Could you shuffle in here with my brains?

It takes two to tango they say
I thought that you wanted to play?
Come waltzing in with your advice
Then quick-step back out of my life

If I hold you a little too tight
Would the pain pirouette through your light?
Come on! Jive as you writhe to take breath
You’re alive! But you’re dancing with death
