I can't see you
But you're looking at me
I can't be you
We're imaginary

How do you look?
Are you nothing, like me?
Where is this book?
That I know, but can't see.

Can you picture my face?
I can picture yours.
But mine's an ugly, bad place
With miscellaneous flaws

Is that how your image lies
From without, within?
One's a mask. The other cries
And nobody can win.

Tell me how you read me
Can I earn the right?
If you can believe me
You give silence sight

Are we much the same thing?
One writing and one reading
To solve this stinging brain thing
We need us to believe in
